Coronavirus Update - 9th June 2020

I hope this announcement finds all our clients, associates and friends well and coping during this unprecedented situation. It is now nearly three weeks since there has been a positive test on the Isle of Man and I think that speaks volumes for the steps taken by the Isle of Man Government and the buy-in from the Isle of Man community to the lockdown measures that were imposed on us all.

It is now nearly three weeks since there has been a positive test on the Isle of Man and I think that speaks volumes for the steps taken by the Isle of Man Government and the buy-in from the Isle of Man community to the lockdown measures that were imposed on us all.  I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say a huge thank you not only to those people working within the NHS, but all those people working and volunteering on frontline services whose commitment, dedication and endeavour have helped the majority maintain some degree of normality in an otherwise surreal situation.  Whether it’s been volunteers delivering essential food supplies to vulnerable individuals, residential care workers looking after loved ones whilst family members have to maintain social distancing measures, or workers at supermarkets who have kept the shelves stocked of food and other supplies, we have all benefited from your efforts and on behalf of everyone normally working in Burleigh Manor I’d just like to say a big thank you.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank our staff whose hard work and efforts over the last 12 weeks have enabled us to continue to provide our services to our clients whilst working remotely from home.  In line with Government guidelines our office has been closed for nearly three months now and as part of our Business Resumption & Continuity plan our staff have converted rooms within their homes into office space to enable them to work remotely and to allow us to continue to function.  Our next challenge is to follow Government guidelines in respect to our return to Burleigh Manor and we are currently working on a plan to achieve this, the centre piece of which will be the continued safety of our staff, clients and other visitors to our office.  We will announce those plans in the near future but needless to say that despite the fact that our office front door will be closed to visitors on arrival, we will remain open for business!

Unfortunately for the foreseeable future, and until such time that the guidelines state differently, we still won’t be holding face-to-face meetings either at Burleigh Manor or at third party premises.  Instead all client and other meetings will continue to be held via telephone, video conferencing and/or Skype.  Our reception will still be manned by Sandra who should be able to deal with all telephone enquiries and help you get in touch with our team members.  However, we would suggest that during this next phase of the Covid-19 response that the best form of communication will be to email the team member you wish to speak to directly.  If you don’t have the email address for the person whom you wish to contact please email hello@peregrine.co.im and your enquiry will be forwarded onto the intended recipient promptly.

In due course we will contact our clients, associates and friends to advise them of what protocols, including those for visitors, we will be adopting at Burleigh Manor once our staff have returned to the office.  In the meantime, on behalf of everyone at Burleigh Manor, I’d like to convey our very best wishes to everyone and we hope you all continue to stay safe.
